ANGELA NICOLI

Soprano Angela Nicoli started her musical studies at a very young age on piano, and early on she devoted herself to singing. She graduated with a degree in Opera Studies from the Conservatory of music Licinio Refice in Frosinone with highest honors and laude under the guidance of her teacher Mirella Parutto. She Passed the 57th Contest “Giovani cantanti lirici 2003” at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale in Spoleto, and she was the winner of the Primo Premio Assoluto del 2nd Sacred Music International Competition in 2003. Ms. Nicoli graduated with honors and laude from the Rome Conservatory of Music Santa Cecilia in Musical Disciplines where she studied with Rebecca Berg. During her time at the conservatory, Ms. Nicoli studied early music and chamber music. She won, the Primo Premio Assoluto in the XVI Edition of the International Competition for Opera Voices Giacomo LAURI VOLPI in December of 2006. In 2005, she won First Place in the Teatro dell’Opera of Roma where she currently works. In addition to performing extensively with Teatro dell’Opera of Rome and other Italian opera companies, Ms. Nicoli is an active concert artist throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
