SARAH HINCHEY

Sarah Hinchey is a classically trained flutist and private lessons instructor based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area, where she is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at the University of North Texas. During her time at UNT, Hinchey has performed with the Wind Orchestra, Studio Orchestra, Collegium Wind Symphony, and Duo Nautilus flute and guitar ensemble. She serves as the head flute instructor for UNT’s VPML program, providing private flute lessons to middle and high school students from Dallas and Jasper Independent School Districts. Outside of her performance and teaching endeavors, Hinchey is pursuing a minor in musicology and was recently hired as the Graduate Assistant for Donor Stewardship and Events for the Office of Development at the UNT College of Music. A Mississippi native, Hinchey completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Mississippi, studying with applied flute instructor Dr. Danilo Mezzadri, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the USM School of Music and Honors College. After graduating from UNT, Hinchey hopes to continue her studies and pursue a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. Her career goals include teaching flute and music history at a university and performing with professional orchestras.
